Customer Testimonials

This is regarding the service department. Took my car in for service on 3/14/25. Inspection, fix the cargo cover, recall, and maintenance. Maintenance and recall went fine. They thought by inspection, I meant a multi point vehicle inspection and not the state inspection which was going to expire in a couple weeks. Be very specific with them! They said it the cargo cover was fixed. Silly me for not checking before I left but an hour later when I returned home, it was still stuck in place so I called. Sarah said she'd order a new one per the tech ...

Took in due to needing an alignment but check engine light came on and slight hesitation when speeding drivetrain malfunction warning so I expressed all concerns with advisor wanted to address another issue other than what was asked. Did diagnostic at 190 per hour and replaced oil cap and light went off but still has smoke coming inside thru vents very disappointed in the service the attitude and no professional by this group Corey Hoover was the only one I give kudos to and he worked in service dept So disappointing in this service today

BMW of Roanoke: A dealership where the GM tells customers to accept shoddy service without complaining or he will “send them packing”! BUYER BEWARE! Looks like you get OK service if you purchase a new vehicle. But then again, who can mess up selling a brand new beamer? Where this dealer completely falls apart is when you buy a used car. Used bmws are not cheap either. Their salesperson Starr, was incompetent and had to refer everything to the manager. He lied and said the price they had up on Cagurus was the absolute best the price the car could ...

Thank you to Starr Groves and his sales manager Al Ennes for the great experience at the dealership. Really nice people to work with, will highly recommend. Unfortunately didn't get the deal this time, but always keep the door open and looking forward to more business.

Everything was handled wonderfully. Everyone there was very helpful. It was a time consuming event which is expected when buying a new vehicle. No complaints!!!

Starr Groves is a star for this dealership. He answered all of our questions and made our experience easy. We love our new X7! Thanks BMW Roanoke

The gentleman who worked with me was both knowledgeable and pleasant. But, truth be told, the vehicle is so good that it sells itself. I knew within just a few minutes that the X3 was what I wanted - everything else was icing after that.

I first started looking for a car for my wife and Tim Hartzog helped me find the perfect vehicle. Not only did he do a great job showing me car options, they delivered the car to our lake home and the “genius” spent a great deal of time walking my wife through the controls. The experience was so good that Tim helped me find the perfect new BMW at another dealership and we did the entire transaction by phone, text, and email. The Genius delivered the new car to my home, took my trade in back with him, completed all ...

Tim and his team at BMW of Roanoke were very accommodating and responsive throughout the selection, ordering, delivery, and post-delivery process. I would recommend BMW of Roanoke and would not hesitate to order through them again.

THE WORST DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!!!! Please, do yourself a favor and never go there. I paid a $2000.00 repair in service. My car wasn't repaired properly the first time. I was told to bring it back by the service manager and he would make it right. While waiting in the lobby, after driving and additional two hours for the second time, and another day off from work. I hear the service adviser talking to the service technician who worked on my car. The conversation lead to a not my problem kind of deal..... Mortified I got up ...

Mr. Tim is such a honest and wonderful human being. Very professional and caring!! Will definitely do business with him again in the future. Thanks

Met Tim when I walked into the dealership, very helpful in answering my initial questions, interests, immediately offered me different X5's to drive, no pressure, introduced me to Jeff the general manager. The new owner introduced himself to me, and made it a point to let me know Roanoke BMW is taking a new approach to the car business, the way it should be, potential clients, and current, need to know their business is valuable. My initial impression was "Roanoke BMW really wants my business", unlike the previous owners. Got the vehicle I wanted at a fair ...

I would recommend BMW of Roanoke for a wonderful car buying experience. They go out of there way to make you feel welcome and take the time to explain all the options. The genius is excellent at showing you how to use all the new technology.

The people at BMW/Roanoke are first class professionals. They are both professional and personal in their approach. From my first interaction with them in exploring a BMW, they set themselves apart from other dealerships. They provided a generous opportunity for me to test drive the vehicle. When the time came to make the purchase, they could not have been more professional. And their work in assuring that my new vehicle was delivered in showroom condition sets a standard of excellence that validated my decision to work with them. Fantastic experience all the way around!

Brian was a really nice guy and excellent to deal with and gave us excellent service. Tim was great also. The buying experience was pretty easy and fairly fast. We’d do it again!

My wife and I needed to upgrade to something larger after recently having our first child. We owned a 2-door BMW 328i converible. A beautiful little car, but definitely not the best choice for strollers and infant car seats. Brian was extremely helpful in putting us in the right vehicle, helping us find something that better suited our growing family's needs and guiding us through the whole process. He was both knowledgeable and patient as we test drove multiple vehicles on the lot. He answered all our questions, carefully went through all our options with us, and he never ...

2 Days after purchase I noticed the car didn’t have a back up camera as advertised - I kept the screen shot of that ad. AND the car is smoking now. I emailed Jason on the same Email we used prior to the sale about both issues and received no response. Prior to the sale I received plenty of responses. No need to call now so you can post that you called me. This helps me narrow down the dealer for my next purchase of a new 5 series in a few months when my current lease expires. Do not go ...

I absolutely recommend purchasing a vehicle from BMW of Roanoke. They were very professional throughout the entire process. When it comes to being consumer-oriented, this dealership is the paragon, exemplary of all the ideals you look for in a quality sales staff. Great pricing on the vehicle as well.

Took my teenage son's old BMW in for an air bag recall. I've done this same thing at a different BMW dealer for my daughter's car and it took awhile. Roanoke BMW got the car in and made the repairs promptly. I hadn't even finished browsing the lot when it was done 🙂

Wendy Roberts and staff could not have been nicer to me and made the car buying experience effortless Jason Dunham and the whole team at BMW of Roanoke are the best!!!

I drove from NY state to purchase the car after seeing it on-line ('05 M3).. Brian and Jason were involved and supportive from first contact through the actual purchase. It was obvious they put customer service #1!!

I've been looking for a vehicle for a while, and I had been doing my homework on what I wanted. The BMW/Cadillac dealership staff was pleasant to work with and helpful, not pushy, and tried to think of everything i clould feasibly think of or would have wanted extra. Over all, Carlos and everyone I interacted with was fantastic!

I cannot say enough about the team at Roanoke BMW. They were able to turn a bad situation with my previous car into a very pleasant experience. I was not anticipating on having to buy a new car when I traveled to Roanoke. The team was able to work with me and got me into a new car in record time. I live and DC and will drive back down when it is time to buy another car!

I have bought many cars before but by far BMW Roanoke was the best experience I have ever had! They really worked with me to get me into the car of my dreams within my budget which means a lot.

Not only do they charge you 150 dollars just to see what's wrong, they then charge you over $100 an hour for labor. My part was less than a 1/3rd of the actual cost. The rest was "labor". They told me it would be ready Friday had to call the following Tuesday to figure out what was wrong. Then called again Wednesday for them to tell me they could have it done Thursday after they found something else wrong. It's Saturday and still haven't heard a thing from them. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Chris in parts was quick to find what I needed and patient with my questions. He connected me with Brian in service, who scheduled a waiting-type appointment for me at a precise time, and who was careful to be accurate regarding what I wanted done. Greg, the service manager, came out to the waiting room to make sure that my bill reflected the promised price. Later Greg returned to let me know the work was done and that they would wash my car as part of the service if I didn't mind waiting. The wash was worth the wait ...

My 2011 Beemer 535i warranty just expired at the same as one of my remote key is died on me Changed battery but no avail. Took in for Check up. They would charge $150 dollars to see what is wrong with it How in the world remote key not functioning while othe cheap cars I had over 10 years has no problem, not even changed batter once last 20 years. Really bad service to rip off!!

Took our 2006 BMW in for rear window not going up. Had to be at a meeting that was 30 miles away and it was starting to rain. Drove car to Valley BMW and asked if they could take a look at the car. Response by service manager was, sorry we are booked up and its Friday and we don't work on Saturday so we can't do it. Asked if I could get a loaner car. He said, nope the car is out of warranty. Told to put a bag over the window. ( interstate, wind, rain, ) Don't think do. ...

Went there after looking online they had the BMW I wanted, drove to see it only to be met by a rude, pushing salesman who really didn't know the cars. He acted like I was inconveniencing him. Well when it came to my trade in and at this point I had already had about enough he offered me Penny's, so I went down the road to Burgland. Their loss don't know how they stay in business.

I bought a used BMW from this dealer. The salesman kept talking and wasted most of my time on talking with him. I did not want to ignore him. As a result, I bought the car without carefully checking it. Still, I believe that the car should be totally fine because it is sold by a BMW dealer. The dealer is one-hour drive from me. After I bought the car, I found the engine whining problem. It is very obvious, but if the windows are closed, you would not find it. That's why I did not notice this whining ...

Just telling you all with my own experience bought a bmw from that dearler. They are suck. The worst service dealership in town. I bought a use bmw from that dealer, I don't even test drive the car. Because I trust their services and it was a bmw X5 2007 . They sold me the car that not ready to sale yet. The wheel making the noise , the ac blowing hot air, now the battery within 2 weeks I bought the car. And I come the dealer asking about the problem, actually the dealer is the worst service in town, I was ...

The parts department here is mediocre at best. On the plus side, they got my part in very quickly; however being a dealer in high end automobiles and automobile parts I would have expected the parts department personnel to be much more knowledgeable. I asked what the cost would be for them to replace the automatic transmission fluid in my car and the guy fumbled around looking at parts and what not before coming back with a guess of $500-1000. Seems a little steep to me!

I went in to purchase a 2007 Cadillac Escalade for $28,000.00 on Friday August 24, 2013. At the time of signing, I took $4,012 out of my purse to pay down and wrote a check for $$27,000.00. Randall Johnson was the sales person. Then he took me to a front cubicle for another guy to do the paperwork. I have Multiple Sclerosis and began to feel bad and had a hard time writing. I counted the $4,012 out in stacks of $1,000 with 4 stacks 3 different times. I kept telling the paper guy I wanted to pay this down. He stated we'll worry about that later. At the ...

I like to work on my own cars and don't like it when anyone else works on my cars, but there are some things I simply cannot do on my BMW at home and have to get a shop to do. So I guess that can make me a difficult customer. I have to say these guys do a great job on my Z4, so good in fact that I wanted to highly recommend them to everyone else. These guys also give me good prices on BMW parts.

I went into this dealership looking to purchase an m5 and received NO INFORMATION. I asked about 535s and was basically dismissed. These people do not want to sell cars and know very, very little about them.

CROOKS or INCOMPETENT This dealership has absolutely terrible service. Instead of making their customers happy, they at every turn require their customers to jump through hoops. They clearly only care about their business, and not at all about their customers. I suppose because they have no competition in our area, they can get away with this. Here's my story: The battery goes dead on my late model BMW roadster. The computer needs to be reinitialized and the dash software needs to be updated, which is a common problem on Z roadsters when a battery goes dead, and the dash ...

Overall experience was awful. No one at the dealership values service business, and they are very obvious about it. Was forced to wait 6 days for an appointment for a blown high pressure fuel pump, and was then given a hard time at the time of drop off. Dealership also looks for excuses to deny warranty work when they have more expensive work to complete on other cars. I was denied diagnostic work on my adaptive headlights based on the fact that I had aftermarket bulbs installed. I explained to the tech that I understand the layout of the headlights (I ...

This dealership is the only one in the region; I am faced with a choice of driving an extra hour or more, or dealing with their incompetent service personnel. From now on, I am choosing to drive when I have to work with the BMW dealer network. Examples of their poor service include wanting to charge me 12 hours of labor and keeping a car for days to simply diagnose a problem I can identify (door lock), and refusing to perform an inspection allowed by a class-action lawsuit settlement. I have had mixed experiences with their sales staff, but since there ...

This is an awful place to go for service. Although initially I was impressed by the friendly staff and they did provide me with a very nice loaner car; their work left much to be desired. I needed a new clutch and they took over a month to get my car back to me. Once I got the car back I found that the car drove very poorly and shifting was not smooth at all (I have a 2001 325ci 28K miles). I brought the car to a dealer in atlanta whre I live and they informed me that the clutch ...

Glen has provided excellent service in every way, from the day I walked in to buy a car, to a year later when everybody in the dealership still remembers my name and asks how things are going. Could not find a better dealership, ever.

Very easy to work with. They made my 500 mile trip very worthwhile. We worked the deal out over the internet and finalized it over the phone with absolutely no problems. It was just too easy thanks to their efforts. I just could not deal with local dealers here in Norfolk, Va area. Very good website. Great sales staff (Glen Jamison)
